This one-day course, designed for parents/caregivers and those who work with young children, offers an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses. The course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies for babies and children. Topics include airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies, respiratory and cardiac arrest, wound care, head and spine injuries, bone, muscle, and joint injuries, sudden medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, poisons, and keeping children safe.  Course fee includes manual. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for active participation in performing CPR and First Aid skills on the floor and various positions.
