Building Service Worker Certification Program

A combination of classroom instruction and supervised, hands-on practicum allows participants to master the knowledge and practical skills required to be successful in the building service industry.  Classroom training provides the theoretical background in cleaning chemistry, WHMIS, tools and equipment, green cleaning, floor care, carpet care, and custodial responsibilities for safe buildings.  At the same time, students practice hands-on workplace skills at the school.

Students must be at least 19 years old and have strong English skills.  Students must be prepared to complete practical work during the course using a variety of equipment and cleaners.  Course mark and evaluations are based on written exams, practicum evaluation, and attendance.  A course manual is included in the fee.
