Registration Policies

Class Postponements/ Holiday:   Regular school holidays apply to Continuing Education classes and facility rentals as well.  Some other postponements may become necessary at individual schools and you will be informed if these affect any of your courses or bookings. Classes/ bookings will be postponed on the following dates:

    • Monday, SEPTEMBER 5:  Labour Day
    • Monday, OCTOBER 10: Thanksgiving Day
    • Monday, OCTOBER 31:  Halloween (evening classes and rentals are postponed to improve security at schools;  daytime classes are unaffected)
    • Friday, NOVEMBER 11:  Remembrance Day

Fees Payable At Time of Registration:  All tuition fees are payable at time of registration. Payment is required to reserve a space in class.  Taxes are included in all fees for which they are required.

Please Mark Your Calendar:  No confirmation of enrollment will be sent to you, so please mark your calendar.  If you register on-line, please print your registration confirmation as a reminder.

Courses May Be Cancelled:  Delta Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, the unavailability of teachers or facilities, or other reasonable causes.  In such cases, registrants will be notified by telephone and a full refund will be given.

Withdrawing From A Class, Withdrawal Fee, and Refunds:  An administration fee of $20 for non-academic or $40 for academic programs will be charged on your withdrawal.  Refunds may not be available for supplies or other non-tuition costs. Refunds are not given for forgotten or missed classes, so please mark your calendar.

NSF Cheque & Credit Card Decline Charges Apply:  A fee of $20 applies to all cheques returned NSF and all credit cards that are declined.  Service charges are imposed on Delta School District for each such occurrence and must be passed on to the cheque-issuer or credit card holder.

Privacy:  Collecting and Storing Personal Information:  Any personal contact and registration information provided to Delta School District is collected and used in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.  View our privacy statement.  If you pay on-line through our secure, PCI-compliant registration process, only your essential credit card details, in encrypted form, are transmitted electronically.

Recordings:  Respecting Privacy of Others:  Please be respectful of the privacy of others and of copyright laws before recording images and/or audio in the classroom.  Please do not take photos, videos, or audio recordings of instructors, classmates, practicum settings, or in-class activities without the prior consent of the instructor and students (in the case of adults) or parents (in the case of students below the age of consent).

Cancellations Due To Extreme Weather or Community Emergency:  Classes may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions or due to a community emergency.  If Delta schools are closed during the day, please assume that classes will be postponed that evening.  Check your local radio stations for school cancellation information, or the School District website , or twitter:  @deltasd37.
