DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) Exams, Grades 8 to 12

WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THE DELF? | VerblingDelta School District, in collaboration with the Centre DELF scolaire de la Colombie-Britanique, offers students the opportunity to participate in an international French language assessment program.

The Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF) is an internationally recognized series of qualifications awarded to language learners to validate their skills in French. Through an examination process of their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, students may be granted diplomas at various levels. The resulting diploma, issued by the French Ministry for National Education, is valid for life and is a recognized qualification in many educational and business institutions worldwide.

The next series of written exams will take place in April 2024. Most components of the exams will be conducted during the regular school day but some modifications to the students’ daily schedule may be required. The oral exams may take place during school hours, after school until evening, and during the weekend. The schedule will be dependent on the examiners’ availability. The majority of the oral component of the exams will take place April, 2024. Your child’s teacher will let them know the exact dates at the end of March.
