Congratulations, DTAC 2022 graduates!

Congratulations to the 2021/22 graduates of the Delta Teaching Assistant Certificate (DTAC) program!  The 57 graduates completed 479 hours of classroom instruction and practicum experience as they prepared to work as education assistants, where they will play a key role with the classroom teacher in maintaining a culture of equity and success for all students.

At the June 14 graduation ceremony, graduates were addressed by Claire Clancy, District Principal, Learning Services – Inclusive Learning, by program coordinators Laurie Lum and Paul Kerslake, and by their cohort representatives, Andrea Bolina, Sabine Ghabrial-Lang,and Natalie Shantz.

Since DTAC’s inception in 2000, the program has regularly responded to feedback from employers, teachers, and graduates by incorporating practical, sought-after skills and up-to-date information into the curriculum.  Learn more about the DTAC program.
